CERMAX EVO cannot be used in an untreated engine. The 0W-0W viscosity relies on a permanent ceramic surface layer — bonded by the STM-3 treatment — to provide adequate engine protection. In an untreated engine, EVO does not provide sufficient lubrication on its own. Always complete the full Cerma STM-3 engine treatment application before switching to EVO.
